Thoreau's View of Technology

According to Thoreau's view technology goes against the natural order of the world. Yes and no, I agree with the fact that technology bring problems to the world but without technology we would still be primitive and we need technology now daily. The advantages of technology are better understanding of everything, easy way of transportation, and more innovated way of finding cures for diseases. The disadvantages are pollution and everyday obsession with technology. I use car, computer, lights, and so on. I can go for a day without technology to an extent.

Civil Disobedience

I'm against the idea of so much money being fueled in the wars and how almost no money is going to the school of United States all around. A way to solve this I think would be to focus more on state unity between different states of the world. We can use Thoreau's idea of not paying taxes for wars we don't support.

In the song by Rage Against the Machine, it is talking about civil rights protecters. People who protect the people from abuse authorities and fight for the rights of the people.

1. Yes, I have fairly organized my binder. I divided everything into places such as SAT packets, book work, and others.

2. In this years classes I think we are more into books since we take up more time to read in class and tae time to discuss it. Similar things from last years English classes are new words we learn and have hot seat which isn't very fun for me cause I can't remember the words that well.

Bradbury's writing style

Ray Bradbury's writing style is very unique. He uses many different visuals to help picture the events that are going on in fine detail. He also uses many metaphors too. His way of using symbols is very interesting because you would never imagine a salamander as a symbol, but a mirror yes because a mirror is used a lot of reflect back on you and your life.

Science Fiction

Science fiction a made up story that has some possibility of becoming true with the help of science to make it reality. A author I know that is a science fiction writer is J.K Rowling, the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an excellent example of it. A setting of science fiction is future of alternative timelines, like time travel.

Banned Books questions, answered

The general reason for books being banned is so the readers at school wont be heavily influenced by them, because of different messages that come with the book. Most books that are banned are heavily talking about slavery and different abusive things that have happened. This says about our country that we are over protective and fear people knowing the truth. When people know truth they tend to bring up questions and make others question it. The government doesn't what this because of all the negative implements that it could have. I've read some books like "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Of Mice and Men." Both books are very good but have strong racism in them. If I didn't read that book my life wouldn't be the same because those books have different effects on people, it makes them think about how slavery is bad and how it influences as individuals.

Importance of Pets

Pets are extremely important in my life. When I was born my mom got a kitten that was born almost at the same time as I was so my mom adopted it so I can live with it. Living with this cat was my favorite part of living, the cat comforted me in so many ways. When I was sick it would stay with me, when I would sleep it would sleep with me and even sometimes on my chest. My mom always worried about the cat choking me in my sleep when it was on my chest but it never did all it did was look over me while I slept. This cat was the most amazing cat in the world. But cruel fate had to take the life of this cat. In the morning a driver ran my cat over leaving me haunting memories that haunt me to this day.

The first day of school led to the last day of three kids lives. Yaquiline, the (lothario), Yessica, the (maverick), and Yanessa, the (liaison) of Yaquiline. On that day, they experienced a (camaraderie) between each other in English class. It started fine, they all sat down in class while Mr. Schreiber introduced himself and the class. They figured out he was a (caste), because he was wearing a red, white, and blue tuxedo. But after seeing that, they realized who was amongst them. . . the infamous “Y Ladies.”
Yaqualine, and Yanessa, hated each other because Yaqualine took a bite of Yanessa’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which led to Yanessa calling Yaqualin (tawdry). Yaqualine, or “Yaquie”, stated that as a (philanderer), she slept with Yanessa’s boyfriend. Yanessa’s previous view of as a (convivial) young girl, immediately went away.
One day Yessica came to school and yelled at Yanessa and Yaqualine using (solecism), Yessica couldn’t say anything because she felt (bumptious) because of all those spicy chicken burgers that she ate. Yaqualine didnt really care because she was a (hobnob), she was tired of arguing. So the rivalry between Yanessa and Yaqualine came to an end. Many people say it was a (cabal), because even after the argument, they still were not friends.
But the weird part of the story is, why didn’t Yessica get involved? She has the (baleful) of words that confuses the Y Ladies to death. But recently she found the Y Ladies (bellicose) and unbearable. She could have won this argument and be the number one Y lady and live in (sybarite) for the rest of her life!!

Are Ideas Worth a Life?

To me the only situation or idea that is worth dying for is freedom. For without freedom we would be back in the times of slavery and probably worse because now that people have the knowledge of what freedom is and would go way beyond what slavery was in the 1600s. There would be mass chaos and more bloodshed for survival.

Project Reflection

In our project we had a great time while making the script. Rehearsing was a blast and lots of fun our team had a lot of great fun putting some funny emotion into the script while reading it. When it came to us to go up we got a bit nervous and a little lost but still managed to finish it.

Rumors

Recently I haven't heard any rumors. But I'm sure rumors will start going off and it will bring confusion to people and it will be hard to believe who is telling the truth and who is just adding what he thinks and making it false.

Summer Assignments

The summer assignments for APUSH are so big. That is about all I can say and I haven't even got the books just by looking at the paper at how long it is. But I will not give up on it and I will push on to get in the Ap class.

This school year

This school year is absolutely the fastest school year yet that I have ever lived through. Weeks went by so fast and then months came and gone. Some weeks I will admit were kinda slow but that was only like two or three weeks out of the whole school year.

Final preperations week

Well here it comes the week is upon us to prepare for finals and to get us ready to do the best we can on the finals. I hope that I do very well on the finals mainly on the Spanish final cause that can help my grade a lot.

Memorial Weekend

This has got to be the fastest week I have ever lived. It seemed like a Monday when it was a Thursday. When the weekends came I didn't even realize it till I didn't have to wake up for school. I hope the rest of the year is like this so it can go by without any "road blocks" to slow down the end of the year.

Swimming Pool

My pool is finally open where I live and I'm so glad cause I love swimming so much. Also I get to try and get a tan if I ever stop swimming. So it works out both ways I either swim or try and get a tan. But mainly swim.

Dentist

Starting this week I have to start going to the dentist. Which is like a nightmare to be just because I am dead afraid of needles. Just thinking of getting the numbing shot at the dentist office or anywhere just gives me the chills. So next week I have to go to the dentist two more times I believe but other then that I'll be done.

Laptop

Also this week unlike my desktop my laptop's battery got fried I think so I had to go get a new one. I thought I was going to have to turn it in and since its so close to the end of the year I wouldn't get it back, which would set back a few things I had in mind that I needed to do. But since I got it back with a new battery everything is going well.

History Movies

The movies are watching in history are so like intensive with all the killing that happens in a war. I never really gave much thought about how much happens in a war except that people fight for land or something else but now that my eyes have been opened to what happens or close to what is happening I realize how truly horrible a war is.

Computer

Well this week was a bad one my desktop computer crashed after many years of nothing like that happening till now. Have to wait till sometime next week to get it fixed cause I can't seem to do it with what I currently know. But hopefully it won't be to bad getting it fixed. My main concern is if the computer will be completely wiped to get it fixed or not. But if it is theirs nothing I can do to change that.

Time

Is so slow....
That's all I have to say about it for now everything is like frozen in time nothing new is happening in my life. Where is my spark to lift my mood I wonder?

Honor roll

I got honor roll again this year. My parents happy about this which makes me happy to see them happy. But to me I don't see how I got it. My current grades aren't good enough for me. Go figure, mainly I don't like how I'm doing in English and Spanish. But I am working on getting them up.

Mother's Day

It's a good day so far. Got up Prepared everything for my mom to wake up too. When she woke up I congratulated her with Mother's Day. After that the day continued regularly. Some people stopped by to say hi and to talk but other then that nothing exciting as of now.

Swine Flu

This flu caused so much chaos among everything not that economy is bad but this had to come into the picture. I'm glad I don't have it and I hope no one else does. It's also so chaotic that Branham was closed.

Gym

I finally got my full membership into it. I wanted it so badly for so long like half a year I think. Now that I have it I get to go everyday to the gym. Not like only on certain days that I could have gone. So I am very happy about that.

Reading

Slaughterhouse 5, the first chapter is kinda confusing at first to me I don't know why but it was. But after getting through it and going on the next chapters its so much easier. So far I like the book. Their is so much randomness in it.

Spanish

Spanish class has been so weird last week. All we did was look at college/university requirements and things like that. I'm not complaining cause its easy and all which gives me more time to focus on my low grades.

out doors

Well I went to a park on Saturday with my cousin and while we were out their was this softball game so we watched it. Funny part about it was that the players were kinder gardeners or first grade kids. While they were playing so many like little tornadoes occurred with all the sand on the baseball lot. Was really annoying but fun to watch them play.

Slaughterhouse 5

Well I bought my copy of the book for this book final project. I hope the rest of my team did too. I was actually thinking that the book would be around 20 dollars but this book was 7.99 and with task it was close to 9. As soon as we are ready I intend to start this report as fast as possible so I wont have to deal with it on the week before its due

Back to School

It's Sunday night and tomorrow once again I have to get up early to get to school like before spring break. I don't even know how I'm going to get up since I'm so used to sleeping in past twelve or longer. But I'll have to manage to do it.

My Head Hurts

This heat is a bid problem for me because I almost always get headaches from it. My head hurts like this for as long as I remember but I think its just cause I spend to much time out in the sun.

Spring Break

This spring break was fun and boring for me. I got to get out a bit and do a lot of stuff with people that I don't see much. But the rest of the time I had to be at home helping around the house which completely stunk. Also the heat is starting to get unbearable.

Animal Farm

This book I actually liked to a extent of how the story goes. But it's kind of "messed up" on how this is about the time of where Stalin ruled Russia under his totalitarian rule. But it's just a book so it can't hurt any one.

Well it is mt birthday today April 5th, 2009 and I am turning 16. Another year closer to 18 which I'm waiting for the most to get my driver license but at least now I can get my driving permit I think. But any way today was fun a lot of people came by and I got to spend time with them.

Research Project

The project was such a pain I knew what I was doing it on but after getting to the third page of typing it I just like went into a massive writers block and everything I thought of typing didn't make sense or just lead way of topic. So when I finished it I thought then I kinda went of topic but not to much.

Twilight

Finally saw this movie and from what I've seen in the movie its not that bad. Kinda confusing at times but overall good. Funny parts about it is the baseball its just so random how they play it out of all sports.

Spring is Here

Starting to get so warm once again and I'm not liking it one bit. It's so hard to go out cause of the heat and I don't even want to thing about whats going to happen in the Summer and how hot it will get. But I guess nothing can be done about that other then stay in conditioned areas to stay out of the heat.

The Elder Brother Wins Again

On March 21st the elder brother of the Klitchko boxers had a fight and once again he has proven that he is the world heavyweight champion still. This fight lasted nine rounds which could have been finished in seven but the other boxer kept jumping around and not letting Klitchko get the last hit he needed to knock him down and finish the fight.

Haircut

Well spring is here and I thought it's about time I got my haircut I liked having my long hair but at the same time I didn't because it got in the way to much. But my hair will regrow if I ever want to have it long again even if it means waiting months for it to grow.

So Windy

This week has been so good and sunny and all the sudden on the weekend it started to become so windy and it rained it was so shocking to see it cause I was really expecting this weekend to be a nice and sunny one. But I guess not everything always goes according to your desire.

Blogging

This helps my grade so much I haven't really noticed how much it help till the grade was put in as 210 points. I was like wow that was more then I expected from blogs. It brought me up a whole 10% which helped me so much.

The Heat

The heat is back now and I know that it is only going to get worse. Me personally I don't like the heat takes to much energy out of me. But I know some people that love the heat way to much and it is almost unbelievable. But as I'm saying this is going to be a hot summer I think.

Movie

In my Multi Media class we have a new project! and once again it's a movie project. We have to go out and make a 7 minutes movie and after we do that where going to have to make a trailer plus a poster to fit the movie this time I'm working in a group of 4 including my self in it. We have a few ideas on what to do but no central idea yet that we might actually do yet. We have a week to get our script together then like a few days to get a storyboard drawn up and turned in so the teacher will have a basic idea of what it is all going to be about.

Blooper

In multi media we have a new project we have to take all our film and take out the bloopers and put the bloopers into one video thats about three minutes. This project isn't hard at all since my team and I had so many bloopers cause someone always messed something up.

My Cold

For the past week I've had a scratchy throat and it has been horrible I can't sleep cause I cough and it's a pain during class when i don't want to cough in front of everyone. But I think I am finally cured of this cold.

Sunny

About time that the sun came out after about three weeks of rain its very hard to feel good. The rain has a way of getting even me down which doesn't happen that much. But I'm very happy that the sun is back out.

Life is Beautiful(movie)

That movie was actually a pretty good movie considering having to look at the subtitles the whole time. I especially enjoyed the part where the kid actually got to ride in the tank cause its funny because his father kept saying he will win a tank. To bad the father had to die.

Grade book

Wow this was the longest grade book ever in my life 8 weeks was it that we had to wait for it to end? I'm glad the rest of the grade books wont be so long cause it just takes to much and is kinda stressful.

Cold

I have a cold this weekend and had a fever on Tuesday so I didn't come to school but I think it's finally going away. I hope it is cause I hate having a cold it bugs me to much.

School Work

I am finally caught up on all of it I think now that the Multimedia project is done and I can rest fora few days without worry about it. I hope to get a break form the filming projects in that because they kill me and that last project was 600 points which I'm not to sure I did so great on.

weeks flying by

Well last week of February is here and I feel like I haven't accomplished that much in this month. Days are flying by as fast as always and theirs no way to slow down. Maybe March will be a little slower and easier.

week ruined

I thought this week I might enjoy without rain but that didn't happen. I wake up on Saturday and what do I see outside...rain. I was really depressed about it and kinda paranoid after checking weather forecast and saw that their is going to be lots of rain.

Grades

I checked PIV over the weekend and saw that i have two classes that have one percent from an A I had such a good laugh over it and became more determined to get it up. Hopefully I will succeed in getting those two classes up.

What is with this weather

Wow it is raining a lot. A week of rain with almost no stop that a bit much even for me cause I actually like the rain it clears things up somehow but theirs always a limit and a week worth of rain is the limit. Kinda getting tired of all of it. Not only am I stuck in the house but I'm freezing.

2 days off

Well Monday and Tuesday went by way to fast to enjoy. Was very boring cause it rained the whole time so couldn't do much out. But I still got to go out and go to the gym which was fun I guess. This is mainly what I did on those two days. Stay home cause it rained and go to the gym on Monday.

Another Week over

These weeks are flying by faster and faster. It's like their no time to stop now they just keep going. Seconds turn to minutes and minutes turn to hours and before you know it hours are days and it keeps on going.

Filming over

I am finally finished filming in Multimedia. I am hoping that all the footage we shot will be enough to make the interview good. It was very funny on the last day we had to go out and finish a few scenes and to see if anything else would come to mind and could be added to it to make it a bit longer. But once again hopefully all that we have is enough for it to last

Slow week

This week has been so slow. Other then school/gym and just homework at home I have no time for anything else this week and that is why I think it is slow for me. Hopefully this week is faster.

Sore

This past week I've been pushing my self more then ever at the gym I'm putting a lot more weights and not giving up even through the pain. But I think I'm progressing much more my main drive for this is that I'm not on track&field any more and I miss having to do all the things I did on track.

Superbowl

This Superbowl was intense I mean when the score was 10-7 Steelers in the lead when Cardinals where 9 yards away from goal,and Steelers(#92 I think made the interception) interception was so out of nowhere with the 100 yard run plus the touchdown which made the 10-7 go to 17-7 and i thought their was no way Cardinals would catch up but they did. And I'm still flipping out how Steelers managed to get that last touchdown to win this Superbowl.

Stupidity

Well today Sunday 25th I was walking and got detracted and kept on walking without looking forward and ran into a pole. It isn't a first time I ran into a pole but this time was so out of the blue I didn't even know their was a pole their when I was walking. Unlike my other times I knew their was a pole but managed to walk into it any way.

Filming

This week from Monday 1/26/09-Friday 1/30/09 will be a boring one in 4th period for me cause we are filming a interview of a problem in the school and it is boring! My team and I kinda mess around so we fall behind somewhat of the time but we stay strong. We have to have all of our film uploaded on to the computers by Friday and me and my partners have about half of it done so I think we are okay with where we are.

First Month

Finally first month of 2009 is almost gone by and a new one begins. For me the first month of a new year is a very weird one always. I always get the date wrong because still used to writing 2008 not 2009. But after this first month I get back on track and just go with it.

Thinking of what to write

Well this is kinda ironic that i ran out of things to say/write for blogs maybe these 3 school days gives me something to write about otherwise I'm stuck. This is me adding on things so the blog will look longer and you are reading this exactly word for word that I was thinking.

This 4 day weekend

It was fun at some points I spend sometime with my family we watched movies like Garfield which I haven't seen in so long. My sister still managed to somehow bug me even when i tried avoiding her most the time. But overall it was okay.

Inaguration Day

Well Obama finally is in the White House. Now lets all hope that change is upon us. I can't wait to see how things will turn out hopefully for the better, maybe the war will finally be settled. How do you feel about this event?

First Love*

It was a morning like all others I was very tired and didn't really want to go to school but was "forced" to go to school because skipping isn't something my parents would be proud of me doing. After coming to school I got with my friends to wait for class to start. We waited and we just were hanging around the forth graders since we where in second grade but i had a lot of friends all over the grades from second to fifth. As the first bell rang me and my friends finished talking about where to meet after school. I got to first period barely on time because I was stopped by a friend that needed to ask me something. After getting in to class in a hurry I got in my seat and the day started, as time passed and the teacher was giving her lesson I started to look around the class to see who was in it. While looking around my attention was cought by this gorgeous girl that I haven't really ever noticed till now which might be because I was always surrounded by friends and talking while the teacher wasn't looking at us. But seeing her for the first time made me get the warm feeling in me and made my heart race. I was very embarrassed to talk to her because I was always the kind of person that is out going but when it comes to love and anything associated to it I got nervous and shy. So not to make a big scene in the class I got my best friend to go ask her who she is. I knew that he would somehow give away that it was me that wanted to get to know her but somehow he didn't he got her name for me which was Cathrine which I thought was a very nice name for her it fit the whole look for her along with the name. My friend made this little planned to himself which I didn't know about till the end of the day and it was to get me to talk to her. I kinda had my suspicious that something was up while we were walking around because he gave it away when he was looking around like he was looking for someone which turned out exactly what he was doing he was looking for Cathrine to make me talk to her and introduce me to her face to face. Well that exactly what he did a minute or two later of looking we found her with a small group of giggling girls and asked her to come with us. She did just that because she was curious at what was happening, after getting to a place without so many people around us he started to introduce us and gets us to talk I was still very shy and nervous as ever. But after a few minutes into the conversation I got less tense and eased up and had no problem answering questions she asked me. But at the end of the conversation my friend threw in the very thing that I was trying to avoid saying the whole time and that was that I liked her so much and as he said that I lit up around the face and got tense again and couldn't even believe he did that. After she heard him say it she came out and told the both of us out in front that she liked someone else, which wasn't all bad for me because I would have been all love struck if she said something else. After she went away my friend and I looked at each other and laughed at it for a minute and walked off.

2009

I just wanted to post this because I'm interested to see what this year means for different people.
To me it means like improvement and development. I say this because looking back from last year I see the different things I did wrong or just not to it's potential. So...ya I guess that all this new year means to me. But take a moment to comment to say what this year will mean for you.

A new Semester

Well semester two has officially started. And now that we are one week into it I am stressing so much cause if you mess up a first grade it starts of bad. But it's not like it will never get better it's just harder cause you have to work twice as hard.
